Last week, the Co.Co.War team carried out a 4-day Experimental Lab at the Partisan Memorial Cemetery in Mostar. The activities provided valuable insights into the site's current realities and the complex dynamics surrounding it.
Together with participants, including students, collaborators, and community members, we began exploring possible future scenarios in which the site could foster community connection, and support the social, cultural, and economic development of the city. Additionally, it was possible to deepen our understanding of the different perspectives and visions held by the community. 🕊️
A heartfelt thank you to the NDC Nansen Dialogue Center, @ndcmostar, for their support and collaboration throughout the lab, and to all the professors, academics, entrepreneurs, citizens, association leaders, and local administration representatives who generously shared their time, ideas, and perspectives.

🔬 Experimental Labs – Mostar
From May 12–15, 2025, the Co.Co.War team will carry out a series of field activities at the Partisan Memorial Cemetery in Mostar. In close collaboration with local associations, experts, professors, and academics, the lab will engage the community in discussions, perception-based research, and on-site survey activities. 🕊️
As part of the Co.Co.War project, this initiative aims to deepen the understanding of how this culturally significant site is experienced today and how its meaning can evolve through inclusive dialogue and shared reflection.

Once a space of collective remembrance, it now faces the challenges of neglect and fragmentation. Through ongoing research and new fieldwork, the Co.Co.War project explores how this site is perceived today and how it might be reimagined—respectfully, inclusively, and with attention to its enduring significance.
